As humans we function best when our Trimutive (the three joint rulers of Mind, Body and Spirit) are in balance. When Mind, Body and Spirit are connected and in balance, we are working towards our highest purpose. Without balance, our three rulers can be in disarray. With one more prevalent, it can cause chaos in the other two. BALANCE = WELLNESS
The Rat Race. Monday to Friday. That Social Construct we all try to adhere to in order to achieve so called "success!" Up at 6am, travel to work, do 8am till 5pm (or 6pm, because there is no such thing as 9-5 anymore really) to travel home by 6pm. Now if you have passion for your job, it’s not a job, it’s a passion. And putting 12 hours into your passion is not a chore, in fact, its enjoyable, it’s your…passion! Your head (Mind) is in the game and your health (Body) is doing well. Buuut, you might still be in the rat race, vying for that promotion ahead of your co-employee, looking for that next big contract to win out over the competition. Your energy (Spirit) may not be soaring (as it should be).
Just because you are passionate about your work may not mean you are not tired, run down, immune-compromised and on the edge of dis-ease. You may love your work, but it could be affecting you. Only you know if you need to take time and book a consultation with us to help you find Balance.
Conversely, if you are dispassionate about your job, suffering, settling for and then justifying your position to yourself and others, then you are most definitely in the rat race and more than likely run down. Relax... Everything is Interconnected
Your trimutive of Mind Body Spirit is interconnected.
If your Mind is in Balance, your Body and Spirit will follow. For many of us, the hustle and bustle of everyday life does not allow for much time for our “Mind” to relax, become or even stay in Balance. Self-Care and time for your-self in this world is second place to the demands placed on your lifestyle. This puts us out of balance which can steadily increase until we find ourselves sick, stressed and exhausted. We often need external help to “Relax” and take the time to find our Balance again. Let us help you, with our Initial Healing Consultation. It only takes an hour and we will work with you to find your imbalances and then provide a practical approach to move you back to wellness and balance.
How many of you take the time to relax your mind? I don’t mean Netflix, I don’t mean visiting the arcade at the mall (Do kids even still do that?!) and I don’t mean waiting for the weekend. I mean the actual act of relaxation of your mind. Meditation, breathing, yoga, writing, reading, a walk in nature, calming your mind and slowing your thoughts? Any of you? Hmmm? I think I see a hand up, waaaaayyyy in the back there! Yep, most of us do not take time to actually relax our mind. We are constantly “On The Go.” So how do we do it?
Try this: Take a deep breath in through your nose… count how long you can breathe in for… now hold it for the same length of time.. and now breathe out, doubling it. Yes, if you inhaled for a count of five, your holding that breath for a count of five, then exhaling for a count of ten. Come on! Try it! Big belly breathing, none of this fear based “Freeze, Fight, Flight” chest breathing that, sadly, most of you do daily. Do it and help your Mind Relax.
Your mind only works well when oxygenated from you breathing properly. Your Body only heals effectively when you breathe properly, and you can only be in Balance when you breathe properly. Your Breath is key to your Balance and the relaxation of the Mind.
And see, some of you are thinking, “Nah, I’m not doing that breathing thing.” That’s ok, everyone is different, relaxation for one person can be stressful for another. You have to “tune your mind” to the right relaxation station.
