Some simple but important information to get the best out of your candle

Before lighting your candle each time, trim the wick to 5mm

Never leave a lit candle unattended ~ keep away from children & pets

Don't put your candle close to the window or in a windy place

Some candles will require a candle holder or saucer

Extinguish by using the other end of a match stick or similar & dip the wick into the wax pool and then lift it back up, keep wick straight, this stops the wick from turning to charcoal and disintegrating and also makes it much easier to light your candle again

Bees Wax is a very dense wax that should be burned for long sessions. The first time you light your new candle, burn it until the liquid pool of wax almost reaches the edge of the candle, which can take up to 3~4 hours

For subsequent burning sessions, light your candle for at least 1 hour per 2.5cm in diameter of the size of the candle. E.G a 7.5cm candle diameter should burn for approximately 3 hours. Aim to have the melted wax pool reach the edge of the candle or glass jar by the end of each burning session. However taper candles can be burnt for however long you like as they are much narrower
